A Non-Xangan Friend Contributes $50
Surprisingly enough, even some non-Xangans want to see Xanga survive. An Indonesian friend who was visiting two weeks ago gave me $50 and asked me to make a contribution to the Xanga Relaunch on his behalf. He enjoys reading my blog entries and while he could read my entries regardless of where I post them, sees the value of the Xanga community.
We are now down to just $17,494 left with the deadline ten days away. Will we make it? #WeAreXanga

Nice
Great gesture. I hope we make it.
How nice of your friend to do that — a tribute to you as well as to Xanga!
Who wouldn’t want to read your blog? Why I would pay uhm… a few baht to read it too!
Bravo a great friend of us !!! XANGA.COM must be alive with everybody….
That is inspiring that someone wants to read your blog and has decided to contribute. I suppose you will support a xanga writer with the transfer to word press? I have one person already on my list to sponsor and will make two more spots this coming week.
Yes we can make it! <3
that is so awesome!!!!!
It’s good to see that there is someone solidary and that values quality content.
Amazing to see a person so pasionate and that gives you power to continue doing so hard work.
Wonderful! I wish more xangans had not given up and moved away!! Perhaps if they all just pledged $5 we could reach the goal in no time at all.
@murisopsis - Sadly, I think the Xanga team bears a lot of responsibility for how they rolled out the news. Having spent several years involved in some large “change management” projects, I can safely say that the Xanga team didn’t hand’e it very well. If it had been rolled out more effectively, there wouldn’t have been a mad dash for the hills.@voluminous09 - @SAINTHOMAS - @stevew918 - Yes, it is pretty cool, isn’t it?@PPhilip - With my two previous contributions of five years plus this one, I should have ten one-year subscriptions to share with others, saving one for myself of course!@ElusiveWords - Thank you for your support Matt… =P@summereque - I am cautiously optimistic.@slmret - Yes, it was a really nice touch. He is a kind and generous person, so I’m not surprised!@ZSA_MD - I hope so, too. I’ve been spending some time setting up a Word Press site just in case, though…
@christao408 - I understand being a cautious optimistic (I also moved my blog to wordpress, and joined the groups on facebook, etc…) but I still want xanga to survive
i’m counting down the days. sigh… i’m not liking the possibility.
I think things will work out…
I hope we make it. Gonna be sad to see it go.
