There are moments when I feel like there is little point in writing entries about meals, about my garden, about interesting sights I see here in Bangkok. This is a period of time in which there are a lot of uncertainties, a lot of decisions to be made, and it is hard to whip up my enthusiasm to write posts about the more pedestrian aspects of my life.
Being an adult is about making the choice to do the correct thing, even when it would be easier or more pleasant to do something else, right?
Sometimes I hate being an adult.

But at least nobody tells you what to do whereas as a kid, I am sure, you were told, “Do this, do that.” Anyway … bon courage!
Your entries bring a bright spot to this blogging community.
Me too – I hate being an adult at times too.
Love your posts – re food and Thailand. Makes me wish I was there
Well, the keyword here is “sometimes”. That means most of the time, not being like an adult, we can still enjoy the fun things in life, such as showing us your garden, sights and tastes of BKK…and much more!
I know you are in a transitional period but there will be a job opportunity. I just know it! I will send you some warm and positive thoughts. Have a Merry Christmas!
Sometimes it is easier to be a child and told what to do. But I don’t really feel that is what you want. The time in your life is difficult and a decision which you are forced to make. You know yourself and you know your boundaries, then you are ready to make a decision. Besides you have Tawn there for support as well as your Xangan friends. Have a blessed holiday and peace-filled New Year.
There are many types of entries we all enjoy. The ones that I think touches us more are when we write about personal challenges, dealing with uncertainties & setbacks and the triumphs; big and small; in life. Writing about these can help in some ways. It’s easier to breakdown a problem and to gradually build a solution. I’ve found that when I get very busy at work (these past few weeks), I have very little time to write.
I’m here if you want to bounce a few things off me. Do take care – I wish you and Tawn all the best.
I hear you on that one. Sometimes transition just sucks the life out of us.
The well runs dry. Dig it deeper.
